With increased traffic from a busy season, I found an opportunity to test the limits of our homepage, which was built on an older platform with limited functionalities - and make it more modern. This included exploring UX on a site with alot of focus areas - busy graphics, top categories, promotions and featured lifestyle photography, while also leaving flexibility for changing seasons. On top of this, there is an initiative to appeal more to a male demographic which is an area our sales have been lacking.
